Arrive Bagdogara
Airport and drive along the Teesta River to the Sikkim border at
Melli. Then you bifurcate into the Rangit Valley and shop briefly
at Jorethang for refreshment. On arrival check into hotel.

Pemayangtse/Khechopalri

After an early
breakfast , a short walk to the Sangachholing Monastery, built in
the 17th century by Gyalwa Lhatsun Chempo, the patron saint of
Sikkim. This spot commands a breathtaking view of the hills,
valleys and villages of West Sikkim. On return drive to
Khechopalri lake. The unusually calm lake, located in the midst of
a dense forest is considered very sacred. After lunch near the
lake drive back to Pemayangtse. Overnight at hotel. |

03 |
Pemayangtse / Gangtok

Morning visit the
Pemayangtse Monastery located on top of a hillock. Built in
the 17th Century, it is the paramount seat of the Nyingmapa
monasteries and regarded as Sikkim’s most prestigious centre
of religious learning. Later drive across the two major
rivers- Teesta and Rangit through semi-tropical forests and
cardamom plantations takes you to Gangtok, the capital of
Sikkim. Overnight at the hotel. |

Gangtok |

Full day sightseeing
of the Enchey Monastery, Cottage Industries, The Research
Institute of Tibetology, Do-Drul Chorten and the Rumtek Monastery,
located 24 kms from Gangtok. It functions as the headquarters of
the Dharma Chakra Religious Centre. Also visit the Deer Park,
which houses the Himalayan Bear, The Tibetan vulture and various
species of deer. Evening drive to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel. |

Gangtok/Lachung
( 122 kms. 6 hrs. approx.) |

Start early breakfast.
En-route stop at Tashi View Point and Kabi Longstok. And hour’s
drive further, you arrive at Phodong Monastery, built in 1740. The
drive after lunch for 20 kms is through verdant forests till you
reach Toong ( restricted Area Check Post) where you cross River
Teesta. Continue drive, arrive Lachung. Overnight at Lodge / Camp. |

Lachung /Yumthang
Excursion

After breakfast, drive
to Yumthang ( 24 kms. 2 hrs.) which has a very picturesque
landscape, lined with several varieties of rhododendrons. Yumthang
is also known for its hot springs. Late afternoon drive back to
Lachung. Overnight at the Lodge / Camp. |

Lachung/Gangtok

After breakfast visit
the Lachung Monastery and late proceed to Gangtok allowing many
stoppages en-route to enjoy the bountiful gifts of nature. Stop
for picnic lunch at Singhik, with a clear and unobstructed view of
Mt. Kanchendzonga and its neighbouring peaks. After lunch,
continue drive to Gangtok. On arrival, check into hotel. Overnight
at hotel. |
