Paro - Thimpu |

Drive to Thimpu.
en-route visit Simtokha Dzong, built by Shabdrung Nawang Namgyal
in 1627. The fortress now houses a university, which teaches the
ancient Bhutanese language “Dzonkha “ On arrival check into hotel.
Afternoon tour of the Memorial Chorten of Late King Jigme Dorjee
Wangchuk, Tashicho Dzong, SAARC building with its beautifully laid
gardens, View Point which affords a spectacular view of Thimpu
town. Evening at leisure. Optional visit to the bustling Main
Market & visit some handicraft shops. Overnight at the hotel.

Thimpu- Phunaka-Thimpu |

Full day excursion to
Phunaka an ancient capital till 1950 when the capital was shifted
to Thimpu Visit Punakha Dzong built in 1637 & Wangdipodrang Dzong.
Return to hotel for overnight. |

border town at the foothills of North Eastern Himalayian ranges.

Phuntsokling - Gangtok

Morning drive to
Gangtok. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon half-day city
tour of Gangtok visiting Institute of Tibetology, Phurba Chorten,
Enchey Monastery, Orchid Sanctuary, proceed to Tashi Viewpoint to
watch the sunset over the Kanchendzonga range. Overnight at the
hotel. |

Excursion to Chang
Lake at an altitude of 12,400 feet on the Nathula highway near the
border with Tibet Optional Yak & Mule rides ( at own cost ).
Afternoon free for shopping in Main Bazzar and a visit to the
Ridge, the main promenade of Gangtok. Overnight at the hotel.

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Observatory Hill . Spend the

Pre-dawn drive to
Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sun rise over the
Kanchendzonga range. On a clear day you can see the Makalu range &
Mount Everest in Nepal. Return to Darjeeling en-rout visit Yiga
Choling Monastery at Ghoom built in 1875 by Lama Sherap Gyansto of
the Geluga sect, it contains a 15 feet high statue of “Maitrey (
future ) Buddha. Thereafter visit the Batasia Loop Station & War
Memorial
Rest of the day at leisure at the Chowrasta. Optional pony rides

Sumendu Lake at Mirik town, an excellent picnic spot. Nestled in
forested foot hills at an altitude of 5800 ft. with orange
orchards, cardamom plantations and tea estates enhance the beauty
of The surroundings here. Evening return to the hotel for
