Bagdogara-Pemayangtse (145 kms – 5 ½ hrs approx.) |

Arrive
Bagdogara Airport and drive along the Teesta River to the Sikkim
border at Melli. Then you bifurcate into the Rangit Valley and
shop briefly at Jorethang for refreshment. On arrival check into
hotel. Overnight at hotel. |

02 |
Pemayangtse/Yuksom (43
kms 2 hrs approx.) |
| |
After breakfast, visit
the Pemayangtse Monastery built by Gyalwa Lhatsun Chempo in the
17th Century. Later drive to Yuksom, the starting point of the
trek. Overnight at trekker’s huts/tents. |

03 |
Yuksom/Tshoka (12kms 5
hrs trek approx.) |

The trek goes
through dense semitropical forests occasionally crossing
beautiful mountain streams and climbs steeply to Tshoka from
where the magnificent Mt. Pandim (6691 mts.) can be seen.
Overnight at trekker’s huts/tents. |

Tshoka/Dzongri (9 km –
3hrs trek approx.) |

A steep climb through
fascinating rhododendron forests. A magnificent view of
Kanchendzonga and Mt. Pandim can be witnessed all though the
route. Overnight at trekker’s huts/tents. |

05 |
Dzongri/Thangsingh (8
kms 3 hrs trek approx.) |
| |
A relatively easy
trail with a clear view of Mt. Kanchendzonga. Overnight at
trekker’s huts/tents. |

06 |
Thangsingh/Samiti
Pokhari (6 kms 3 hrs trek approx.)

The trail is fairly
even upto the village, and onwards you walk along the moraines for
about half an hour. Overnight at trekker’s huts/tents. |

07 |
Samiti Pokhari /
Goecha-la ( 8 kms 3 hrs trek approx.) |

Climb along a gully on
an uneven train. The east face of Mt. Kanchendzonga can be seen
from here. Descend to Samiti Pokhari. Overnight at trekker’s
huts/tents. |

Samiti Pokhari /
Thangsing (12 kms 3 hrs trek approx.) |

Back track to
Thangsing. Overnight at trekker’s huts/tents. |

09 |
Thangsing/Bakhim ( 12
kms 3 hrs trek approx.) |
| |
Descend to Bakhim
through dense forests. Overnight at trekker’s huts / tents. |

10 |
Bakhim/Yuksom (12 km 4
hrs trek approx.) |
| |
Retrace the trail to
Yuksom at your own leisure. If you arrive early you can visit the
Dubdi Monastery, the residence of Gyalwa Lhatsun Chempo the monk
introduced Buddhism in Sikkim in 1614 A.D. Overnight stay at
trekker’s huts / tents. |

Tuksom/Gangtok (160
kms 8 hrs approx.) |

After early breakfast
a long drive to Gangtok via Rabongla where you stop for lunch. On
arrival, check into hotel. Overnight at hotel. |

Gangtok-Bagdogara (127
kms 5 hrs approx.) |
| |
Drive to Bagdogara
airport for onward flight. |
